Boston Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts made history on Wednesday afternoon at Fenway Park, becoming the second player in franchise history with 30 home runs and 30 stolen bases in a single season.
He's the 40th player in MLB history to reach those marks, according to Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe, and first Boston player since Jacoby Ellsbury in 2011.

Betts' 32 dingers and 30 stolen bases are each career single-season highs. He has three more games following Wednesday's matinee versus the Baltimore Orioles to pad his stats and make his case to be the American League MVP.
On top of his 30-30 efforts, Betts has slashed .343/.434/.639 in 2018 to go with 125 runs scored, 46 doubles, and a 10.7 WAR.
