Report: Yankees, Mets, Marlins discussing massive 3-team trade

The New York Yankees, New York Mets, and Miami Marlins are reportedly discussing a three-team trade. The deal, if completed, would involve starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard going to the Yankees and catcher J.T. Realmuto suiting up for the Mets, according to Mike Puma of the New York Post.

While there is no word regarding what the Yankees would have to give up in the trade, Syndergaard going to the Bronx is apparently a real possibility. Despite that, there are about "10 other scenarios" being considered by the Mets around the young fireballer, a source tells Andy Martino of SNY.

If this one scenario falls through the cracks, the Mets are eyeing multiple two- and three-team trades, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.

The Mets have been rumored to be shopping Syndergaard since the offseason began, but are said to need a "grand slam" in return. They are reportedly eyeing MLB-ready players over prospects.

Similarly, Realmuto has been the subject of trade rumors since it came out that he wouldn't sign an extension to stay in Miami once he hits free agency in 2021.

If such a trade were agreed upon, it would send the Winter Meetings in Las Vegas into a frenzy.
