Report: Phillies looking at Keuchel, Britton along with 'mega free agent'
The Philadelphia Phillies' front office has a lot of money to play with in free agency, and it might be time for the team to get silly.
Philadelphia is looking at free-agent pitchers Dallas Keuchel and Zach Britton, while also hoping to lure a "certain mega free agent," reports Bob Nightengale of USA TODAY Sports.
It was previously reported in November that the Phillies could pursue major free agents before making decisions on signing Bryce Harper or Manny Machado, the two biggest stars available in free agency.
After missing out on Patrick Corbin, Keuchel could provide the Phillies with a needed left-handed option for their rotation.

Keuchel, who won a Cy Young in 2015 with the Houston Astros, pitched 204 2/3 innings last season but also allowed a major-league leading 211 hits. He still managed a 3.74 ERA and 3.69 FIP in 34 starts.
Britton could provide the Phillies' bullpen with a third southpaw and a pitcher with 142 career saves under his belt.
In 41 games with the Baltimore Orioles and New York Yankees last season, Britton fashioned a 2.88 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in 25 innings.
