Report: Twins, Polanco agree on 5-year, $25.75M extension

The Minnesota Twins and Jorge Polanco agreed on a contract extension that will guarantee the shortstop $25.75 million over five years and includes two club options, sources told MLB Network's Jon Heyman.
The extension will buy out one pre-arbitration year and three arbitration years while covering up to three free-agent seasons, according to ESPN's Jeff Passan.

Polanco hit .288/.345/.427 with 42 RBIs across 77 games for Minnesota last season.
That production came after the 25-year-old returned from an 80-game suspension as a result of testing positive for Stanozolol.
Additionally, Minnesota reportedly agreed to a contract extension with outfielder Max Kepler on Thursday.
