Kershaw to make season debut Monday
The Los Angeles Dodgers' starting rotation will get a serious boost in next week's home series against Yasiel Puig and the Cincinnati Reds.
Ace left-hander Clayton Kershaw will make his season debut Monday after rehabbing a shoulder issue.
After he was originally announced as the Dodgers' Opening Day starter in February, the 31-year-old Kershaw was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left shoulder injury on March 28.
Kershaw had an encouraging rehab start for Double-A Tulsa on Tuesday, where he allowed two earned runs over six innings and threw 81 pitches.
The three-time Cy Young winner rejoins a rotation with Walker Buehler, Julio Urias, Ross Stripling, and Kenta Maeda, but remains without Rich Hill and Hyun-Jin Ryu, both of whom are injured.
Kershaw, who has 153 career wins and a 2.39 ERA across 11 big-league seasons, was signed to a new three-year, $93-million deal in November.
