Rays' Glasnow leaves start vs. Yankees due to forearm tightness
Tampa Bay Rays right-hander Tyler Glasnow was forced to leave Friday's start against the New York Yankees with an apparent injury in the sixth inning.
The Rays later announced that Glasnow left the game due to right forearm tightness, according to Tricia Whitaker of FOX Sports Florida. He will undergo an MRI and further evaluation on Saturday.
Following the contest, Glasnow said he felt no pop or pain in his forearm and is optimistic, according to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times.
Glasnow immediately called for the trainers after throwing a pitch, pulling himself from the game in apparent discomfort.

The 25-year-old is in the midst of a breakout season, sporting 55 strikeouts and an AL-leading 1.86 ERA through his first seven starts for the East-leading Rays. Friday's start marked the first time Glasnow allowed more than two earned runs all season.
Tampa Bay announced a plan last week to limit Glasnow's workload through extra rest and shortened starts.
