Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier hit a three-run, inside-the-park home run against the Cleveland Indians on Thursday after a scary-looking collision between Oscar Mercado and Leonys Martin.
The two Indians outfielders crashed into each other after they both made sliding attempts on Kiermaier's sinking liner in left field in the top of the sixth inning.
Mercado and Martin initially stayed in the game, but Mercado later exited for a pinch runner after hitting a single in the bottom of the sixth.
The Indians announced Mercado has a right hip contusion, according to MLB.com's Mandy Bell.
