MLB ump invites teen at center of viral baseball brawl to Rockies game
A 13-year-old who was umpiring a youth baseball game when a violent brawl broke out amongst adults received an invite from MLB umpire Chris Guccione to attend Sunday's Colorado Rockies-Los Angeles Dodgers game at Coors Field.
Video of the brawl, which occurred at a game between teams of 7-year-olds in Lakewood, Colo., went viral earlier this month. Authorities said the fight broke out after parents and coaches were unhappy with some of the decisions made by teenager umpire Josh Cordova.
These adults took over the field and began assaulting each other on 6/15 during a youth baseball game. We're looking for any info, in particular to ID the man in the white shirt/teal shorts. Several people have already been cited in this fight and injuries were reported. pic.twitter.com/ieenhwCrbU

Guccione, who's in his 20th season as an MLB ump, told The Associated Press that he and his crew extended the invite to Cordova to show their support.
"It is an extremely hard job to be an umpire and keep the peace and to make the calls," Guccione said. "I just want Josh and his family to have a great time at the ballpark."
