Acuna joins Trout as only 30-30 club members before age 22

Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. stole his 30th base of the season Friday night against the New York Mets. With 36 home runs under his belt, he became the latest member of the 30-30 club.

In the process, he joined Los Angeles Angels superstar Mike Trout as the only players under 22 years of age to reach this feat.

Acuna joined Hank Aaron, Dale Murphy, and Ron Gant (twice) as the only players in Braves franchise history with 30-30 seasons.

Two players - Mookie Betts and Jose Ramirez - hit the 30-30 plateau in 2018. They were the first to do it since Ryan Braun and the aforementioned Trout did the deed in 2012.

Acuna also has a shot at being the fifth member of the 40-40 club in MLB history, and the first since Alfonso Soriano did it in 2006. The Braves phenom, who swiped 12 bags in July, needs only 10 more stolen bases and four more homers down the stretch to accomplish the feat.
