The New York Yankees will have a major reinforcement in their lineup on Wednesday, as outfielder Giancarlo Stanton was reinstated from the injured list.
The slugger will bat fifth and play in left field against the Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday.

This is Stanton's first game since June 25 and just his 10th this season.
Manager Aaron Boone said Stanton will get "a couple" at-bats on Wednesday night while playing four-to-five innings in the outfield, according to Lindsey Adler of The Athletic. Boone added that Stanton could play the entire game on Thursday as the designated hitter.
Like many Yankees players, the 29-year-old Stanton has battled a variety of injuries this year. He's missed the majority of 2019 due to a strained left biceps, a strained left shoulder, a strained left calf, and a sprained right knee.
Stanton did manage to stay healthy throughout his first season in the Bronx in 2018 when he batted .266/.343/.509 with 38 home runs in 158 games. Though it was a productive campaign, it wasn't at the level of his 2017 NL MVP season, when he hit .281/.376/.631 with 59 home runs with the Miami Marlins.
