Darvish takes revenge on Verlander after blooper-reel play
Yu Darvish doesn't forget.
The Chicago Cubs right-hander threw a friendly jab at fellow pitcher Justin Verlander on Twitter after the Houston Astros ace tossed a ball into his own leg while trying to make a throw to first from his back during Game 2 of the World Series.
Justin.... 🤦♂️. Not doing a lot here to help us dispel the pitchers aren’t athletes thing.https://t.co/Ne5E1FXEe2 https://t.co/5UyZlpLyg9

The tweet was payback for a comment Verlander made about Darvish in 2018 when he fell down while rounding the bases after getting a hit.

"Hey, 75% of that play was pretty athletic," Verlander said in response to Darvish's dig, according to Tim Brown of Yahoo Sports. "The other 25%, not so much. I mean, a diving bare hand, come on!"
