Best moments involving mic'd-up Cubs stars Rizzo, Bryant
Spring training is just a bit looser than the regular season.
Case in point: Chicago Cubs stars Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant were mic'd-up throughout Monday's Cactus League game against the Los Angeles Angels to often hilarious results.
Here's a selection of Bryzzo highlights.
Rizzo's got the voice of an angel 🎵

Rizzo's playlist is stocked with Selena Gomez, and he wasn't shy in showing off his pipes from the comfort of the dugout.
'Feeling a heater' 🔥
"I'm doing some math in my head about where he is going to throw. ... Someone bang for me."

In a third-inning at-bat, Rizzo jokingly asked for a "bang" to help figure out what pitch to sit on. So, it's not only fans taking cracks at the Houston Astros for their sign-stealing scheme this spring, after all.
"Feeling a heater right here because I've only seen one today from him." @ARizzo44 called it. pic.twitter.com/ebcRqr65RN

Eventually, he settled - correctly - on a heater.
Rizzo gave his own play-by-play and analysis while gearing up for a fastball. He also considered stretching it into a double before wisely holding back.
Bryant's gear isn't up to code ❌

Bryant was called out for being the only one not wearing the cap specifically designed for spring training.
'Is that his name?' 🤔
"Get fair! Get down! Now I'm tired."@KrisBryant_23 & @ARizzo44 mic'd up during KB's at-bat is gold. 😂 pic.twitter.com/3GYmsoJCQr

Bryant didn't know umpire Jeff Nelson's name when he took his first AB.
The former MVP blasted out of the gate on a foul ball, returning back to the box a little out of gas.
Rizzo reassured him that he was "setting a good example" by running out a pop-up, though.
Rizzo vs. Chipper 😂
No hard feelings, right @RealCJ10? 😂

A 7-year-old Rizzo - and his father - apparently heckled Atlanta Braves Hall of Fame third baseman Chipper Jones from the safety of the stands.
This game makes a great argument for mic'ing up players more consistently, though it probably wouldn't fly during the regular season.
