When Ichiro Suzuki came to the Seattle Mariners in 2001 after nine seasons in Japan, he became an immediate sensation. Ichiro won the AL MVP, AL Rookie of the Year and rattled off 10 consecutive All-Star seasons.
Ichiro returned to the Mariners in 2018 after spending five-plus seasons between the Yankees and Marlins. At age 45, Ichiro joined Seattle on a trip back to Japan, where his career started, and suited up for the final time to kick off the 2019 season.
