Mark Reynolds announces retirement after 13 MLB seasons
Thirteen-year MLB veteran Mark Reynolds announced his retirement Thursday during an appearance on MLB Network.

"I've moved on. I've retired," Reynolds said when asked about his free-agent status by Steve Torre and Danny Kanell. "I guess it's breaking news on your show. I haven't really told - I mean, obviously my family and friends know. You know, with all this going on ... I'm really enjoying time with my family and it's time for me to move on and find something else to do."
Reynolds, 36, spent four years with the Arizona Diamondbacks after they selected him in the 16th round in 2004. In 2009, he received down-ballot MVP votes after posting an .892 OPS with 44 homers and 24 stolen bases over 155 games.
Reynolds hit .236/.328/.453 with 298 home runs while predominantly playing corner infield over his 13-year career. In addition to the D-Backs, he also played for the Colorado Rockies, Baltimore Orioles, St. Louis Cardinals, Milwaukee Brewers, Cleveland Indians, Washington Nationals, and New York Yankees.
