The Chinese Professional Baseball League's proposal to reopen its games to the public has been approved by the Taiwan CDC, according to CPBL STATS.
A maximum of 250 fans per game will reportedly be allowed into the stands before that number gradually increases.
The CPBL is primed to become the world's first professional baseball league to allow spectators at its contests amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic after beginning the season at Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium on April 12.
Cardboard cutouts and robots have been in the stands since games started, while human cheerleaders are permitted on the sidelines.
The league will reportedly meet Tuesday to review its closed-door policy. Taiwan had reported zero new confirmed cases for six days in a row up until Saturday, when three new cases were announced, according to the Taiwan News.
