With the 104th pick in the 2020 MLB Draft, the Miami Marlins selected Jake Eder, a left-handed pitcher out of Vanderbilt.
Eder bounced between the rotation and bullpen at Vanderbilt, serving as a starter during his freshman season and reliever as a sophomore. He closed out the Commodores' College World Series victory last June with a three-inning save. Eder also excelled in the Cape Cod League, posting a sparkling 1.20 ERA in the wood-bat summer circuit.
He made four starts during the shortened 2020 season.
