Kershaw surpasses Drysdale for 2nd-most strikeouts in Dodgers history

Clayton Kershaw has now recorded the second-most strikeouts in Los Angeles Dodgers history, surpassing Don Drysdale during Thursday's game against the Seattle Mariners.
The milestone punchout - his fifth of the game - came against Shed Long Jr. in the fifth inning, giving Kershaw 2,487 for his career.
The 32-year-old will now pursue Don Sutton's mark. Sutton notched 2,696 strikeouts over his 16-year tenure with the Dodgers.
Kershaw finished the night allowing one run on four hits and one walk while striking out 11 batters. That gives the left-hander 2,493 career strikeouts:
