Everything is pointing toward a busy trade deadline for the Boston Red Sox.

The team already kicked off trade season late last week, sending relievers Brandon Workman and Heath Hembree to the Philadelphia Phillies. But Boston seems motivated to continue selling.

Outfielder Andrew Benintendi, who's currently on the injured list with a rib cage issue, is available, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. The 26-year-old was hitting .103/.314/.128 with one stolen base over 14 games prior to his injury. However, he's under team control through 2022 and memorably graduated to the majors one year after being selected seventh overall in the 2015 draft.

Even further, the Red Sox are willing to include significant salary relief in deals to move contracts, according to Sean McAdam of the Boston Sports Journal. While that might not be necessary with Benintendi, who's owed $6.6 million next season before his final year of arbitration, it could motivate teams to pursue J.D. Martinez or Nathan Eovaldi.

Martinez, 33, can opt out of his contract this winter. But if he doesn't, the slugger will be owed nearly $39 million over the next two seasons. The three-time All-Star is hitting .228/.322/.406 with three homers over 27 games this year.

Meanwhile, Eovaldi is due $34 million through 2022. The right-hander has authored a 4.98 ERA and 4.57 FIP over 34 1/3 innings so far this year.
