Atlanta Braves star outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. needed to be helped off the field after fouling a pitch off his left foot in the fourth inning of Friday's game against the Washington Nationals.

Acuna was on the ground for almost a minute while being examined by trainers. He couldn't put any weight on his injured foot as he limped off the field and into the clubhouse.

X-rays on the foot returned negative for a fracture, the Braves announced. Acuna is listed as day-to-day, and manager Brian Snitker said postgame that he may be able to play Saturday, according to Mark Bowman of MLB.com.

Ender Inciarte completed Acuna's at-bat by flying out to right field, and took over for him in center.

The 22-year-old is hitting .286/.440/.667 with 11 homers, 22 RBIs, and five steals through 31 games this season. Acuna missed time last month with a wrist injury.
