MLB unveils 2021 spring training schedule, Opening Day plans
Major League Baseball announced Wednesday that 2021 spring training games will begin Feb. 27.
The regular season will follow on April 1 with all 30 teams playing on Opening Day.
The full spring training schedule can be found at MLB.com.
MLB unveiled its plan for the postseason on Tuesday with teams playing in bubbles. The World Series is slated to take place from Oct. 20 to 28 at Globe Life Field in Arlington.
Assuming the postseason schedule goes according to plan, it should be a fairly standard offseason. The 2019 World Series between the Washington Nationals and Houston Astros finished Oct. 30, and 2020 spring training games began Feb. 21.
Spring training was subsequently shut down in early March due to COVID-19, and the regular season was postponed until July 23.
