Yankees-Indians enters 2nd delay due to torrential downpour
Wednesday night's game between the New York Yankees and Cleveland Indians has entered a second rain delay. There's currently no timetable for when play will resume.
The game was originally delayed by nearly an hour due to incoming rain.
The tarp came on the field in the bottom of the first inning after Cesar Hernandez and American League MVP favorite Jose Ramirez hit back-to-back doubles off Yankees starter Masahiro Tanaka to take a 1-0 lead.

When it entered its second delay, many questioned the decision to even start the game in the first place.
What an absolutely botched decision to start this game when they did. What a mess.

Someone dropped the ball, and then it hit them in the face and they fell down a flight of stairs. The decision to start this Yankees-Indians game when they did was nuts.

Reminder that this could be Masahiro Tanaka’s final game as a Yankee.

He took the mound in an absolute downpour, faced three batters and gave up one run, and now this game might be in a lengthy rain delay (again).
