Report: MLB in process of revising Grapefruit League schedule
Major League Baseball is in the process of finalizing a revised Grapefruit League schedule that would separate teams into pods on the east and west coasts of Florida, sources told The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal and Matt Gelb.
West coast teams would play 28 games under the revised schedule, while east coast squads would participate in 24. East coast teams would make up the missing contests with intrasquad-type matches.
The Tigers aren't on any coast (unless you count Lake Parker), but they'll be presumably grouped in the west with Tampa, Clearwater, Dunedin, Bradenton, Sarasota, North Port, Port Charlotte, Fort Myers. https://t.co/zKJ7EfAMh0

Additionally, individual clubs will be responsible for handling any adjustments to spring training ticket sales due to the revised schedule, according to Rosenthal and Gelb.
There was no mention of schedule revisions for Arizona's Cactus League.
Pitchers and catchers report to spring training Feb. 16 and 17. Exhibition games begin Feb. 27, with the regular season starting April 1.
