Tempers flared in the Philadelphia Phillies' dugout on Sunday, but manager Joe Girardi was in no mood to discuss any possible clubhouse issues afterward.
During the Phillies' 10-8 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays in Dunedin, television cameras showed Girardi and second baseman Jean Segura in a heated dugout discussion. Third-base coach Dusty Wathan needed to step in between the two at one point.
Girardi refused to answer when asked about the exchange postgame.
"(It was a) bench conversation meant for the bench," Girardi said repeatedly, according to Dave Uram of KYW News Radio. Moments later, when pressed on whether the issue has been resolved, he replied "that's my job."
Reporters continued to ask questions about the incident, and a visibly upset Girardi began channeling his inner Barry Bonds to move the conversation forward.
And when more questions came up about the interaction with Jean Segura in the dugout, Joe Girardi began to say "next question."

Segura committed two errors on Sunday, including one in the first inning on a play that should have resulted in a routine double play. The confrontation took place after his first misplay.
When Girardi went out to remove starting pitcher Chase Anderson in the second inning, Segura was the only Phillies infielder who didn't come to the mound, according to Matt Gelb of The Athletic.
Segura also committed two of Philadelphia's three errors during Saturday's game against Toronto. After that contest, Girardi implored his team to "catch the ball. Just catch the ball," according to Cory Seidman of NBC Sports Philadelphia.
