Colorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story will participate in the Home Run Derby in front of his team's home fans at Coors Field next month, he announced on Instagram Monday.
This will be Story's first time participating in the event.
The two-time All-Star is one of MLB's top slugging shortstops, amassing 143 homers since 2016. Story's hit nine round-trippers so far this season for the Rockies.
The 28-year-old is the fourth player to confirm his participation in this year's derby, joining Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Angels, Trey Mancini of the Baltimore Orioles, and defending champion Pete Alonso of the New York Mets.
