Cincinnati Reds right-hander Sonny Gray left the mound down 2-0 to the Kansas City Royals after allowing a pair of runs in the fourth inning on Wednesday, and he felt the need to shake things up.

"I came into the clubhouse and I got completely naked and I changed everything that I was wearing except for my cleats," Gray said postgame. "... I tried to cool off. I changed my jersey, my pants, my underwear, and my socks. I guess that was all I was wearing. And just tried to like reset and start over."
Gray was on point for the rest of his outing after the spontaneous change, retiring nine straight while pitching three perfect innings. He capped it off by striking out the side in order during the seventh.
The Reds mounted a comeback to earn the hurler his second win of the season.
"Maybe it worked," Gray said of his wardrobe change.
The veteran missed most of June with a groin strain and was making his second start since being reinstated from the IL. He's 2-4 with a 3.19 ERA over 62 innings.
