Trout '100%' healthy entering 2022

Whenever the 2022 campaign gets underway, Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout should be ready to roll.

Trout's agent Craig Landis told The Los Angeles Times' Mike DiGiovanna that the nine-time All-Star is "100%" healthy, and the club expects him to be a full participant in workouts when spring training begins.

The three-time American League MVP was limited to 36 games in 2021 as he battled a nagging right calf strain.

Trout still produced at an elite level last season, albeit in a limited sample size. The center fielder hit .333/.466/.624 with eight home runs and 18 RBIs while accruing 2.3 fWAR in 146 plate appearances before heading to the injured list on May 18.

The 30-year-old made waves earlier in the week when he shared his thoughts on baseball's ongoing lockout.

Trout expressed his desire to get back on the field but acknowledged that the players need to "get this CBA right" while blaming the owners and commissioner Rob Manfred for implementing the lockout and canceling the first two series of the campaign.
