The Atlanta Braves signed reliever Collin McHugh to a two-year, $10-million contract, the team announced Tuesday.

The contract comes with a club option for 2024 that includes a $1-million buyout.

McHugh will join a Braves bullpen that emerged as a consistent force en route to a World Series title last season.

The 34-year-old authored the finest season of his nine-year career pitching for the Tampa Bay Rays in 2021. He posted a 6-1 record with a 1.55 ERA, an 0.93 WHIP, and 74 strikeouts across 64 innings for the AL East champions.

McHugh has also made career stops with the New York Mets, Colorado Rockies, Houston Astros, and Boston Red Sox. He owns a lifetime 64-44 record with a 3.77 ERA, a 1.22 WHIP, and 845 strikeouts in 864 2/3 innings.
