Report: Unvaccinated Yankees now inoculated ahead of Toronto trip
The remaining New York Yankees players who were unvaccinated as of last week have informed the team that they're now inoculated, according to MLB Network's Jon Heyman.
The news comes ahead of the Yankees' scheduled three-game series with the Blue Jays in Toronto, which begins May 2.
Canada's current regulations require anyone entering the country to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at least 14 days before crossing the border.
When asked about his team's status ahead of the Yankees' planned flight to Toronto on May 1, manager Aaron Boone said Tuesday that he's confident his players' availability in Canada won't be an issue.
"I think we're going to be in a good spot, that's my understanding," Boone said, according to ESPN's Marly Rivera.
He added: "I don't know the timelines of everything, to be honest. ... My understanding is we're going to be OK."
