Watch: Unlucky Votto misses pair of homers by inches at Fenway Park
Luck wasn't on Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto's side during Tuesday's game against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park.
The 38-year-old missed a pair of home runs by inches, settling for two doubles instead.
The first came in the top of the fifth inning when Votto smoked an offering from Red Sox right-hander Michael Wacha that ricocheted off the top of the fence in right field.

Votto stepped to the dish in the top of the eighth against Tyler Danish and hit a ball toward the left-center portion of the famed Green Monster. The umpires reviewed the play but upheld the initial ruling that it was in play and not a homer.
