Hader's scoreless streak ends with 2 Phillies HRs in rare blown save
It turns out Josh Hader is human after all.
Hader's incredible run of 40 consecutive scoreless relief appearances came to a sudden end Tuesday against the Philadelphia Phillies. Alec Bohm welcomed the Milwaukee Brewers closer to the game by crushing a long game-tying home run to lead off the ninth.

Two batters later, Matt Vierling stunned the crowd at American Family Field by launching the go-ahead home run off Hader, which held up as the winning score in a 3-2 Philadelphia victory.

For Hader, the blasts brought an unbelievable run of dominance to an end. The blown save was his first since July 7, 2021, and the first time he's allowed both a run and a homer since July 28 of last year. Hader hadn't allowed two homers in a game in almost two years.

.086!
That’s 64 hitters, one extra base hit - a double to Cedric Mullins back on April 12!
His now-finished streak of 40 consecutive scoreless relief appearances sits tied for the all-time record with Houston's Ryan Pressly.
The homers quickly bumped the 28-year-old's previously flawless ERA to 0.96, with a 0.64 WHIP.
