Brewers select switch-pitcher Jurrangelo Cijntje in 18th round
With the 552nd pick in the 2022 MLB Draft, the Milwaukee Brewers selected Jurrangelo Cijntje, a switch-pitcher from Champagnat Catholic School in Florida.
Cijntje may seem like a novelty similar to former big-leaguer Pat Venditte, but he's anything but. The 18-year-old throws 93 mph from the left side and 95 from the right side and boasts a nasty slider. He also plays shortstop and is a switch-hitter.
He might still commit to Mississippi State, and appeared to confirm he'll go to college on Monday night, but he's got plenty of appeal.
Let’s roll StarkVegas I choose YOU!!🐶
