Giants, Stripling agree to reported 2-year, $25M deal
The San Francisco Giants announced Tuesday that they agreed to a contract with right-hander Ross Stripling.
The agreement is for two years and $25 million with an opt-out after the 2023 campaign, sources told ESPN's Jeff Passan.
Stripling will also receive a $5-million signing bonus, according to the New York Post's Joel Sherman.
Stripling's signing bonus is $5M paid in $2.5M installments each year. 2023-$7.5M. 2024-$12.5M if he does not opt out. #SFGiants

Stripling enjoyed a breakout season for the Toronto Blue Jays in 2022. He posted a 10-4 record and set career highs in ERA (3.01), innings (134 1/3), and fWAR (3.1).
The 33-year-old returns to the National League West after spending parts of five seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
He joins a Giants rotation projected to feature Logan Webb, Alex Cobb, Sean Manaea, Alex Wood, and Anthony DeSclafani.
Stripling owns a lifetime 38-38 record with a 3.78 ERA, 3.93 FIP, and 8.33 K/9 across 204 appearances (104 starts) during his seven-year career.
