The Minnesota Twins and Joey Gallo agreed to terms on a contract Friday.

It's a one-year pact worth $11 million, according to ESPN's Jeff Passan.

Gallo spent most of this past season with the New York Yankees before they traded him to the Los Angeles Dodgers in early August. The outfielder slashed .160/.280/.357 with 19 home runs, 48 runs scored, and 47 RBIs in 410 plate appearances over 126 games in 2022.

The 29-year-old was worth only 0.2 bWAR this past campaign, but he posted a career-best mark of 4.7 in 2021, which he split between the Yankees and the Texas Rangers. Gallo played the first six-plus seasons of his career with Texas.

Gallo fell out of favor in the Bronx this year amid his struggles. Matt Carpenter and Andrew Benintendi eventually leapfrogged Gallo for playing time before New York shipped the Nevada-born slugger to Los Angeles for minor-league pitcher Clayton Beeter.

Despite Gallo's difficulties, he's displayed plenty of power in the past. The two-time All-Star has hit at least 25 home runs four times in his eight-year career, including 38 in 2021, 40 in 2018, and 41 in 2017.
