The San Diego Padres agreed to a two-year, $15-million deal with right-hander Seth Lugo, a source told MLB.com's Mark Feinsand.
Lugo's deal also reportedly includes performance bonuses.
The 33-year-old is expected to compete for a spot in San Diego's rotation, according to the New York Post's Joel Sherman.
The Padres rotation is expected to include Yu Darvish, Blake Snell, Joe Musgrove, and Nick Martinez next season.
Lugo spent the first seven seasons of his career with the New York Mets, posting a 32-24 record and 3.48 ERA in 275 appearances, including 38 starts.
The Los Angeles Dodgers also showed interest in acquiring the veteran right-hander.
