Report: Giants, Taylor Rogers agree to 3-year, $33M deal

The San Francisco Giants and reliever Taylor Rogers agreed to a three-year, $33-million contract, a source told The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal.

Rogers spent the 2022 season with the San Diego Padres and Milwaukee Brewers. The left-hander will join his twin brother Tyler, a reliever with the Giants.

The Rogers twins will become the fourth set of twins to be teammates in MLB history, according to MLB.com's Sarah Langs. They are the first pair of twins as teammates since Jose and Ozzie Canseco played for the Oakland Athletics in 1990.

Adding Rogers comes on the heels of San Francisco reportedly inking outfielder Michael Conforto to a two-year, $36-million deal.

Rogers will bring a proven ninth-inning option to the back of the Giants' bullpen. The 32-year-old has posted two seasons with at least 30 saves in his career and made the All-Star team as a member of the Minnesota Twins in 2021.

The veteran hurler owns a career 21-26 record with a 3.42 ERA and 81 saves across 385 appearances.
