Report: Dodgers add Alex Reyes on 1-year, $1.1M deal
The Los Angeles Dodgers and right-handed reliever Alex Reyes agreed to a one-year, $1.1-million contract with a $3-million club option for 2024, a source told MLB.com's Juan Toribio.
Reyes' pact is pending a physical and contains a number of performance bonuses that could earn Reyes up to $10 million, Toribio adds.
Reyes can make up to $2 million in performance bonuses in 2023, and up to $8 million in 2024. Very interesting deal. https://t.co/KRxC5F6wUg

He missed the entire 2022 campaign with a shoulder injury. Reyes is still recovering from the ailment and is likely to miss at least a few months of the 2023 season, Toribio reports. The 28-year-old has struggled to stay healthy throughout his career, also missing time due to elbow, back, lat, and finger issues.
Reyes' best season came in 2021 when he emerged as the closer in St. Louis. He made his first All-Star Game and racked up 29 saves with a 3.24 ERA and 95 strikeouts across 72 1/3 innings.
