Red Sox slugger Duvall suffers fractured wrist, won't need surgery
The Boston Red Sox are placing outfielder Adam Duvall on the injured list with a distal radius fracture in his left wrist, the team announced Monday.
The hot-starting slugger suffered the injury during Sunday's game. There's no immediate timetable for Duvall's return but manager Alex Cora said he will not require surgery, according to Chris Cotillo of Masslive.
The 34-year-old was forced to leave Sunday's game against the Detroit Tigers after attempting to catch a fly ball and landing on his wrist. Duvall's left wrist was surgically repaired last July due to a torn tendon sheath, causing him to miss the remainder of the 2022 season.

He was replaced in center by Raimel Tapia.
The former All-Star and Gold Glove winner was off to a torrid start to the 2023 campaign, going 15-for-33 with four homers and 14 RBIs through eight games.
First baseman Bobby Dalbec has been recalled from the minors. The 27-year-old is hitting .232/.298/.456 with 45 homers and five steals over parts of three seasons with the Red Sox.
