Cashman: Yankees are 'championship-caliber' team when healthy
Brian Cashman believes the New York Yankees are capable of winning a World Series, so long as they get healthy and remain that way for the rest of the season.
"The worst thing that could happen is when you have a lot of stuff happening at the same time, which is going on with us right now," Cashman said while describing the Yankees as a "championship-caliber" team, according to MLB.com's Bryan Hoch.
The Yankees have played most of this season without their full contingent of players. Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, and offseason addition Carlos Rodon have all missed time, along with a growing list of others. Rodon hasn't appeared in a game this season after signing a six-year, $162-million deal.
Yankees' injured list

Luis Gil | Tommy John surgery |
Jonathan Loaisiga | Elbow surgery |

Cashman said injuries "are killing us" and held himself accountable when asked about acquiring players with injury history, as well as not having enough capable depth to offset the ailments.
"Every move we make is intended to help us. For the successes, you don't focus on that. But the failures, that's my responsibility and I take full accountability for those," he said, according to SNY.
The Yankees enter Wednesday last in the American League East with a 16-15 record.
