San Diego Padres right-hander Joe Musgrove is fed up with his club's lack of success against the division-rival Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Padres have dropped the first two games of their series in Los Angeles after losing a series at home last weekend to the Dodgers.

Musgrove took the loss in Saturday's game and admitted he was "tired of hearing that shit" when asked afterward about San Diego's struggles against the Dodgers, according to ESPN's Alden Gonzalez.

"I think we, as a group in here, got to stop talking about these guys like they're that unbeatable force," Musgrove said. "We beat these guys in the playoffs, we beat them in big situations. We're just not playing very well right now."

The Padres took down the favored Dodgers in four games during last season's division series.

The Padres are 19-21 while the Dodgers sit at 25-15, but Musgrove believes San Diego is superior and just needs to play up to its potential.

"We feel like we have a better team than them," Musgrove said. "We're just not playing to our capabilities right now on both sides of the ball."

Musgrove has struggled personally in his career against the Dodgers. The 30-year-old is 0-7 in 11 starts with a 3.92 ERA and 1.34 WHIP when facing Los Angeles.

The Dodgers will look to complete a three-game sweep when the two teams wrap up their series Sunday afternoon at Dodger Stadium.
