LSU won its first College World Series title since 2009 on Monday, defeating the Florida Gators 18-4 in the third and deciding game between two college baseball heavyweights.

The Tigers were led by Dylan Crews, who went 4-for-6 with three runs scored and an RBI. Crews is considered one of the top choices to be selected first overall in the upcoming MLB Entry Draft.

Tommy White, Brayden Jobert, and Jordan Thompson each had three RBIs for LSU, which scored six earned runs off Gators starter Jac Caglianone in 1 1/3 innings.

Every starter in the Tigers' lineup recorded a hit, while eight of their nine starters posted an RBI.

The only LSU starter who failed to record an RBI was catcher Alex Milazzo, who exited the game with a fractured shin. Milazzo was carried onto the field by teammate Paul Skenes to celebrate the victory.

This is the seventh time LSU has won the College World Series.
