Torres (Achilles/heel) will undergo surgery to remove the bone spurs in his heel Wednesday and is expected to be out for six months, CSN Bay Area's Andrew Baggarly reports.
Torres can officially be ruled out for the remainder of the 2013 season and may be in danger of missing some of the 2014 campaign, as well. He's set to become a free agent and probably won't attract a ton of interest as a light-hitting, 35-year-old outfielder with a serious injury.
