Brandon Crawford doesn't seem ready to call it a career just yet.

Although he's still weighing his options, Crawford's agent, Joel Wolfe, told John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle that the 36-year-old wants to play in 2024.

Crawford, who's spent his entire career to date with the San Francisco Giants, has already fielded calls from multiple teams, Wolfe added.

"He's been with the Giants his whole life, literally, so it's hard for him to imagine life anywhere else, but he's listening," Wolfe said. "Several teams have called and asked if he'd consider going somewhere."

A Bay Area native, Crawford has been the Giants' rock at shortstop for the last 13 seasons. The three-time All-Star owns four Gold Gloves and one Silver Slugger. He was also part of four Giants playoff teams, including World Series-winning rosters in 2012 and '14.

But Crawford's offensive downturn and health issues over the last two years, combined with top shortstop prospect Marco Luciano's rise to the majors, have made it unlikely that he'll return to San Francisco. Before their season finale last month, the Giants activated him from the injured list so he could play one last game at Oracle Park, an event that many took as a sign that he would retire.

He's also willing to change positions in order to continue his career. Outside of one pitching appearance in a blowout this past season, Crawford has only played shortstop in the majors; his most recent professional experience at other infield positions was at Single-A in 2010.

"He would consider it, yeah," Wolfe said about Crawford potentially playing second or third base. "This day and age, you have to."

Crawford just finished the worst season of his career in which he hit .194/.273/.314 with seven homers while playing just 93 games because of multiple injuries. But he's just two years removed from posting career highs in OPS (.895) and home runs (24) en route to earning a Gold Glove and a fourth-place finish in NL MVP voting.
