Chicago White Sox general manager Chris Getz was blunt about the current iteration of his club and said he would consider trading two of the team's biggest stars.

"We have a talented group, there is no question," Getz said Tuesday at the GM meetings, according to CHGO's Vinnie Duber. "I don't like our team.

"We've got pieces that are talented and attractive, and they can be part of a winning club. But obviously, we haven't gone out there and performed. It's not a well-rounded club right now. We have to find players to come in here and help get us in the right direction. And if that means that we use some of the players we have to multiply and not only help us in the near term but also in the long term, as well, (then that's what we'll do)."

White Sox ace Dylan Cease and slugger Eloy Jiménez were mentioned as trade candidates in recent reports, and Getz said there were no "untouchables" on the roster.

"Dylan, obviously, is an established major-league starter, he's got front-end ability, and there isn't a team that wouldn't want Dylan Cease on their roster. And Eloy is a power bat that any lineup would benefit from having. Those types of moves are under consideration, they are," Getz said.

The 27-year-old Cease posted his highest ERA since 2019 last season, but he still performed well by FIP (3.72) in 177 innings for the 101-loss White Sox. The righty also ranks fourth in the majors in K/9 among qualified starters since the beginning of 2021.

Meanwhile, Jiménez appeared in his most games (120) last season since his rookie campaign in 2019. The oft-injured slugger posted a .758 OPS with 18 homers and 64 RBIs, spending the majority of his time as a designated hitter.
