LHP Leesman, C Anderson called up

BOSTON (AP) The Chicago White Sox have promoted left-hander Charlie Leesman and catcher Bryan Anderson from Triple-A Charlotte before Sunday's game against the Boston Red Sox.

The 26-year old Leesman went 4-3 with a 3.87 ERA in 16 starts in Charlotte. Anderson, also 26, hit .224 with seven homers and 26 RBIs 64 games for the Knights.

Manager Robin Ventura said he expected to use Leesman mostly out of the bullpen and hopes to get Anderson in the lineup soon.
