Report: Yankees ink Weaver to 1-year, $2M contract
The New York Yankees agreed to a one-year, $2-million contract with free-agent right-hander Luke Weaver, a source told FanSided's Robert Murray.
The deal includes a 2025 club option and can max out at $8.25 million, Murray adds.
Luke Weaver Yankees deal: $2M+ PB’s in 2024. $2.5M base in 2025 with escalators based on IP in 2024 that could take him to $6M in 2025. @ByRobertMurray 1st with agreement

Weaver made three starts for the Yankees last season after he was claimed off waivers from the Seattle Mariners in September. The 30-year-old went 1-1 with a 3.38 ERA and 16 strikeouts across 13 1/3 innings during those three outings.
Weaver gives Yankees manager Aaron Boone another option as a potential No. 5 starter in the rotation behind Gerrit Cole, Carlos Rodón, Clarke Schmidt, and Nestor Cortes.
