Zito won't get final start at AT&T Park
San Francisco Giants manager Bruce Bochy isn't planning on giving Barry Zito a final ceremonial start at AT&T park as a gesture of appreciation, according to MLB.com's Chris Haft.
Zito, who is in the final season of a 7-year contract that paid him $126 million, has struggled during his tenure with the Giants, posting a 62-80 record with a 4.63 ERA.
Barring an emergency spot-start (It is unlikely the Giants pick up his $18 million option for the 2014 season), it looks as though the Barry Zito era in San Francisco is over.
