Gaudin (carpal tunnel syndrome) will face live hitters one more time before being activated, Alex Pavlovic of the Mercury News reports.
It seems the Giants are just not quite comfortable enough with where Gaudin's at in his recovery to activate the 30-year-old, but his reinstatement is nearing. As long as Gaudin avoids setback in his final live BP session, he should return -- possibly in a starting role -- by early next week at the latest.
