White Sox place Robert on IL with hip flexor strain
The Chicago White Sox placed star outfielder Luis Robert Jr. on the 10-day injured list with a right hip flexor strain and recalled outfielder Lenyn Sosa from Triple-A, the club announced Saturday.
Robert pulled up rounding the bases on a ninth-inning double during Friday's game against the Kansas City Royals and had to be removed.

He missed three months of action with a hip flexor injury during the 2021 season.
"He's hard to replace," White Sox manager Pedro Grifol said Friday, according to MLB.com's Scott Merkin. "You don't replace a guy like him, but at the same time, next man up. We have to go out and continue to fight and do the things we need to do."
Grifol won’t speculate on how long Luis Robert Jr. will be out. It will be longer than 10 days, though.

Robert is hitting .214 with a .741 OPS, two home runs, and four RBIs across seven games this season.
