Yankees' Soto taunts Kremer after emphatic HR

New York Yankees outfielder Juan Soto made a statement when he stared down Baltimore Orioles pitcher Dean Kremer after clubbing a solo home run Tuesday night.

"We were going back and forth. He didn't like the shuffle - I bet he didn't like the homer, too," Soto said after the Yankees' 4-2 loss, per Greg Joyce of the New York Post.

Soto didn't elaborate when asked if Kremer had commented on his signature shuffle, according to Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News.

The star outfielder frequently does the "Soto shuffle" after taking a pitch. He drops into a crouch, leans toward the opposing pitcher, then retakes his stance. Soto first made waves with the shuffle during the 2019 World Series.

Despite Soto's theatrics Tuesday, Kremer and the Orioles got the last laugh. The right-hander led the team to its second straight win over the Yankees by allowing two runs over seven sharp innings.

The teams will continue their four-game series Wednesday night.
