The Blue Jays' stars shone in Wednesday's 5-3 victory over the Phillies - they'll need to keep shining to get back on track.

"If we want to get to where we want to get to, we need George (Springer) and Bo (Bichette) to perform how they've always performed," Schneider said postgame, according to MLB.com's Paul Casella.

Bichette entered the game mired in a 3-for-40 slump and responded to being dropped in the batting order by hitting a clutch RBI single off Phillies pitcher Aaron Nola in the sixth inning.

"He’s going to get going, it’s just a matter of time. I know we’ve been saying that, but it’s really a matter of time for him," Schneider said.

Springer, a four-time All-Star with a career 127 OPS+, owns a disappointing .206/.276/.298 slash line in 2024. He scored a run in Wednesday's victory and made a diving catch in right field.

Everyone continues to preach patience amid the team's tough start.

"We're not hot yet. When we all get hot, it's going to be easy to go out there and compete," Vladimir Guerrero Jr. said, per Casella.

The Jays have the day off Thursday, then return home to begin a three-game series with the Minnesota Twins.
